Summer Camp Programming

We offer a well-rounded educational experience that continues the learning beyond classroom lessons. Clubs, field trips, supplemental technology courses, and wraparound programming provide the opportunity for our students to find their strengths and soar.

  1. J-Rock Summer Camp

Since 2007, Cornerstone Christian Academy has hosted J-Rock Summer Camp on its grounds. Each summer, more than 100 children, both Cornerstone students and community children, attend the camp. During the summer, campers have the opportunity to participate in Drama, Music, Art, Dance, Technology, Sports, Swimming, and a weekly field trip.

  2. Summer Enrichment

Cornerstone’s Summer Enrichment Program is focused on preparing students for the next school year. Whether your child is a new student or a current student looking to improve their academic goals, the Summer Enrichment Program seeks to impart new experiential learning opportunities to ensure success for the next school year. It is designed to show school students that learning can be fun, engaging, and goes beyond the four walls of a classroom.

  3. Young Readers

READ! By 4th is a city-wide initiative led by The Free Library of Philadelphia aiming to increase the number of students entering the 4th grade and reading at grade level by 2020. In partnership with the READ! By 4th program, Cornerstone serves 30-50 students through the Young Readers program each summer. Starting July 2, 2018, 1st grade teacher, Carol Malone, and 2nd grade teacher, Narda Cooper, will work with rising Kindergarten through 2nd grade students for four weeks in the enrichment program.
